Gov Akeredolu will utilise state Energy License to restore electricity to Ondo South says Obe

The present administration in Ondo State under the leadership of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON has assured that no stone would be left unturned at restoring light very soon to southern part of the state which had been in the dark for over a decade.

To achieve this, the Arakunrin Akeredolu Administration, has commenced scouting for credible energy firm that will partner the State Government to generate the much needed energy that will service people of the area efficiently.

Speaking while playing host to the Management of Paras Energy which claimed to have proven expertise in electricity generation, the Honourable Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Engr Razaq Obe said Governor Akeredolu is desirous of utilising the energy license the state has in order to make life meaningful to the people of the State.

The Honourable Commissioner who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Alhaji Yusuf said the investors should not entertain any fear as the state is keen about the CNG Project.

” Governor Akeredolu is greatly committed to the effective utilisation of the Energy Licence the state is privileged to have. As such, Mr Governor is prepared to partner any credible investor whose core competence is Electriccity Generation”, he said.

In his response, the Managing Director, of Paras Energy, Yashwant Kumar appreciated the State Government and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for its determination to work.

He explained that Paras Energy has been in the state for a while and the company has done so many productive businesses with the State Government and therefore promised not to disappoint.

In his remarks, the State Coordinator, Ondo State Electricity Regulatory Bureau Engr. Stephen Bolawole explained that Ondo State has created an Electricity Policy framework to protect consumers and investors in the Energy Sector.

Also the Olu of Igbokoda, Oba Afolabi Odidiomo appreciated the State Government for putting up efforts to relieve the pains of those that have been in total darkness for the past 15 years.
